About Us
The history of the Valen Group begins in the 1950s with the founding of Valencassetti in Sacile, Italy by Amedeo Della Valentina, the President of Valencassetti, Valendrawers, and Valeneast.
Valencassetti resulted from from Amedeo’s original concept that a specialized wood component producer could deliver high quality ready-made components faster, better, and cheaper than they could be built in-house by furniture and kitchen specialists. Valencassetti became a specialist in drawer components, achieved high efficiencies, and showed the way for a whole new approach to furniture production. Today, virtually all furniture and kitchen producers have committed to this approach, which has lead to the highly efficient industry we have today.
Valencassetti not only pioneered the concept of outsourced components, but in 1964 was instrumental in the development of the first modern “flat-line” finishing system for furniture components. The multiple UV lines of the Valen Group produce a top quality finish at a low cost. Today Valen Group components continue to be known for their distinctively high quality finish.
Valencassetti is located in Sacile, Italy in the heart of the furniture producing region of northeast Italy. Valencassetti has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9002 designation for its industry-leading quality control process.
Valendrawers was founded in 1985 in Lexington, North Carolina to serve the fast growing North American market. Valendrawers brings the same high quality materials and workmanship delivered in Europe to Valen Group customers in North America.
Valeneast, founded in 1999, is located in a prime source region for high quality hardwoods in eastern Europe. Valeneast is the first processing point for all solid beech components for the Valen Group. Valeneast contains the following operations: rough mill, dry kiln, molding, and optimization. The Valen Group is therefore entirely vertically integrated in the production of solid beech components. We offer best in class pricing while maintaining our usual high standards of quality.
